Early One Morning . . .

It was early this morning and my wife awoke from a deep, deep sleep.

Shuffling into the computer area barely awake. She caught me!

I greeted her with this odd burst of joy . . .

"LOOK AT ALL THE LOST IN SPACE ROBOTS!"

. . . . needless to say she wasn't amused.

(But just look at them! - And they are available to purchase, only $25,000.00 Life Size)

All systems are a go........just waiting for my Surgery date

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Wanted to fill you in on my latest news's!!!!
I had both my Dietary Assessment and my Psychological Testing in the last two day's and I was given the "green light" as it were to have the Surgery.I basically knew what was to be expected from the Dietitian who really laid out strict guidelines for me to follow.I will use it like the(pardon the expression)the Bible. As for my Psychologist,a Dr Jeffrey Wilbert,I of coarse was a bit apprehensive at first. We chatted for a while then he gave me a series of tests that really tested my brain. Then he was nice enough to let me know of the results in a rather short amount of time after I completed. He told me that under the circumstances with all the complications I have with my feet......unable to exercise at this time and of coarse other medical issues related to my weight, there is no other recourse but the Surgery.
He also suggested that I continue seeing him on a more regular basis since I have issues that were never addressed
properly.I am in it for the long haul from here everybody. It will be a somewhat of a "rebirth"for me.Like an infant learning how to eat.I was told to start some of the "behavioral" changes now to ease into the new lifestyle better.I thank you all ahead of time for the love and for the  support that I need so much from all of you. It's so hard for me to even imagine what this will really be like since I have never been through something like this before. All I know is that ever since I can remember........and if you really know me and my memory, that's a very long time,I have dreamt of this for so long.I get so emotional about it.I will now have the rest of my life........a very long one at that to live love and laugh with the love of my life Bill...my girls....Dinki and Bubba........my wonderful Family and friends to enjoy it with. You are all so dear to me.
Thanks,
Big Hugs
Chris

"Bee your Best!!"

Hey Everyone!

While at work yesterday,I was in the fittingroom putting stuff away and helping customers when a woman came in suddenly and dropped this envelope to me and said "this is for you" I replied "thank you" and when I had a moment I read was inside.
This is what it said:
Did you know that the body of a Bumble Bee is too big for it's wings? Therefore it should not bee able to fly! But, the Bee does not know this! It beelieves that it can fly and has been flying for hundreds of years.
What does this have to do with you?God wanted to bless you today.God loves you!!
He wants to to beelieve in yourself and beelieve in the love he has for you.
You can do all things through Christ Jesus who gives you strength and guidance.
Make it a great day............
God Bless.......
And Bee Your Best!!!!!!!

Spring showers bring May.......

Hello to Everyone!!!
There is alot of rain here, and I heard Arizona is getting their first rainfall since October!Hey Laurie?? You all getting alot of snow??Alot of folks around here think that snow is practically the sign of the devil!LOL!!!!It's very funny.I LOVE SNOW.......it's the ice that's bad.Bill and I have both fell on our "Bum's" several times already and we haven't really had much snow here.Seems the further south you get the less snow .It makes sense tho since Lake Erie is up north near Cleveland, Lake Superior as well as Lake Michigan.I am still trying to figure out where people go to ski around here.Bill and I slept in this morning and had a lovely Breakfast.I pancakes and bacon and he waffles and bacon:-0.......oh and dinki just had bacon.Bubba??? hmmmmmm......I don't think she came out of the closet yet.................I think she is still in there.Bill and I learned alot at my Seminar on Friday.he had a bit more to digest more than I.It's difficult still for him to understand but I believe he trusts in my decision for my health sake. I am choosing the Rou-en-y method.......look up the proceedure at WebMD under Gastric Bypass Surgery or just go to the Miami Valley Hospital http://www.miamivalleyhospital.com/bariatrics.htm website and you'll be able to get info there or of coarse you can just "google it". We have spoken breifly to the woman who is head of the finance dept at the Hospital and she told us that between both of our Blue Cross Blue Shield there won't be much to pay out of pocket. And my hospitalization is paid at a 100%.We will know to the penny how much we need to pay prior to me getting the surgery. It's paid for up front. At the seminar there was both men and women there of all sizes with very different stories to tell of their plight. We heard two testimonials.......one from a woman who had the surgery and after a yr and a half lost more than half her body weight. And she is now employed at the hospital Speaking and having one on ones with with patients as well as future patients.Shes in great shape even tho the did not opt for plastic surgery. She jokingly said she just relies on "strategically placed undergarments"LOL....another was from a young lady who at 22 yo had the same surgery as I will and she said she wanted the plastic surgery...........but she was alot bigger than I and I am to solid to need it.I will be able to pretty much get it back into shape tho not "perfect"through sit ups and my "strategically placed undergarments"hahahaha!!!!!!My first appointment is with my dietary consultant and she will do a brief assessment on me.I also will get a Psychiatric evaluation.I look forward to it all.The Hospital makes all the appropriate calls to get the "approval" and then Viola!!!!!!
Believe it or not,I am not scared one bit.........anxiously excited and happy as if I have prepared myself mentally for this all my life.
Stay tuned.........it will only get better..
to b continued
(i just loooooove this blogging thing)

Don't Give Me Any Lip!

Hi Family!!

Wanna hear the latest "skuttlebutt."??Bill had to take me to the Emergency Dept of Green Memorial Hospital this past Sunday night because my Dinki bit my lower lip bad enough I needed stitches. What led up to that situation was over Dinki "growling" at Bill because she was in his hair with a very closely guarded "pig ear" treat that we got for her earlier in the day. It looks like a tough piece of rawhide chew. He wanted to sit in the chair. Anyway, I was in the kitchen doing dinner dishes and heard what was going on in the other room so I stopped to investigating. I sat down close to her and wanted her to know I was the one in charge and not her!(The Dog Whisperer show with Cesar Millan www.cesar-millan.com taught me that:-))But instead of being the dominant leader and owner of this dog I started to treat her like a misunderstood little girl and my mothering instincts prematurely kicked in and that's when I put my face to hers.......and well you know the rest. Needless to say she has some aggressive behavior issues that we will address. From the very beginning, she has alway's been my baby, perhaps to much like a human baby. I suppose this is normal for alot of pet owners. I don't treat her different now,.I love her still the same but I know now she is a dog and the particular breed is a bit aggressive. Bill told me he knew she was going to bite me, but as always and you all know I have a bit of a stubborn streak within me and if he told me not to get close to her at that point I was going to do it anyway. I did get a tetanus shot as well while at the Hospital. Bill and I go back on Sunday to remove the stitches. Bill took a shot of me with the camera a day or two later to show you all my fancy lip. I was fortunate that I didn't have to have plastic surgery! More information to come. <3 Chris
