A Fellow CCAD Classmate - from CCAD - Class of 1979

This is the website of my fellow classmate John Palencar, who I sat next to in figure drawing and painting classes at The Columbus College of Art & Design, always marveling over his uncanny realism!!  Most of the time John was late for classes, but no one ever said a word, John was extremely talented and gifted.  Now he is famous in the art world, please check out his website, it will amaze you!  He was a great fellow - quiet and serious.  I loved watching him draw and paint in college. We graduated together in Spring of 1979.

Don Gullett, Cincinnati Reds Legend!

Here is Don Gullett of the Cincinnati Reds 1975 pitcher! (He pitched and struck out 20 of 21 hitters one year!) My mother Mrs. Betty Jo Holmes; known as "Mother Holmes" at Greenup County, Kentucky's McKell High School, in South Shore, KY was Don's English teacher.

I've also created a "Mother Holmes" website devoted to my mother and many students have responded with comments on her. (Just click on her name above)

I remember Don stopping by our home in South Shore for many visits with my mom. I believe he even signed some baseballs.
