Here is Don Gullett of the Cincinnati Reds 1975 pitcher! (He pitched and struck out 20 of 21 hitters one year!) My mother Mrs. Betty Jo Holmes; known as "Mother Holmes" at Greenup County, Kentucky's McKell High School, in South Shore, KY was Don's English teacher.I've also created a "Mother Holmes" website devoted to my mother and many students have responded with comments on her. (Just click on her name above)
I remember Don stopping by our home in South Shore for many visits with my mom. I believe he even signed some baseballs.
